【 Inspiration 】

In the 1940s, slim belts became the mainstream fashion. Prior to World War II, pants with high waistlines were commonly worn, and wide belts appeared bulky when paired with them. Therefore, belts with a width of 3cm or less were considered ideal, as they created a more elegant visual proportion.

Taking inspiration from a 1939 department store advertisement, we aimed to recreate the most classic and practical belt style. Using a single piece of top-grain leather, the thickness of the leather itself provided enough strength and durability.

This belt is holeless.

Slide belt was very popular in the 1930s, people can adjust the tightness accurately and freely according to their own size, which remain useful regardless of any changes in body shape.

【 Solid Brass Buckle 】

We choose the durable Solid Brass Buckle, which is made of solid pure material, both the inner and outer colors are genuine, unlike the common chemical electroplating seen in imitation fashion products, which only have a thin layer on the surface. The buckle is engraved with Art Deco elements, telling the story of its design style originating from the 1930s.

【 British Bridle 】

In addition to its renowned durability, British Bridle Leather is known for its distinctive white bloom effect on the leather surface.

This white powder comes from a traditional formula of beeswax and oils that has been used in British Bridle Leather production for centuries. It is applied by hand and allowed to dry, enhancing the leather's strength to withstand the pulling force of horses, meeting the durability requirements for bridle materials.

Another benefit is the waterproofing effect of the white wax. In the constantly rainy and snowy conditions of the UK, the leather gear would become damp and dry repeatedly, causing the oils to evaporate and leaving the leather prone to cracking. Therefore, the hand-rubbed white wax on the surface of British Bridle Leather provides protection against wind and rain.
